Mary Curry
Prior to founding MANGO Math Group, Mary Curry was the Director of Curriculum Development for Explorations in Math (EIM), a Seattle non-profit organization dedicated to helping elementary school students in the Greater Seattle area succeed in math. As the Director of Curriculum Development, Mary was responsible for the development of the entire after-school and supplemental math programs at EIM, creating innovative, hands-on, grade-appropriate math games and activities based on national and Washington State math education standards. The EIM materials developed by Mary and her team are continually being used by dozens of Seattle area schools as well as schools in the greater Puget Sound as after-school clubs, summer clubs and family math nights. Mary received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Dakota and holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Seattle University with an Endorsement in Special Education. She is a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and the Washington State Mathematics Council (WSMC).
